How to Send and Receive Funds

Sending Funds

1. Open the App
   Once you're in the app, locate the 'Send' button directly underneath the blue 'Pay Now' button on your home screen.

2. Enter Recipient’s Username or Scan QR Code

   • Type in the username of the person you want to send funds to in the provided field.
   • Alternatively, if the recipient has generated a QR code for the transaction, tap the QR icon in the upper right-hand corner to scan it and proceed.

3. Enter the Amount
   On the Payment screen, after selecting the recipient, tap next to the green $ sign to input the amount you want to send.

4. Optional: Add a Description
   Beneath the amount, you have the option to add a description to your transaction. This is helpful for labelling payments, like "Lunch" or "Gift."

5. Review Available Balance and Vouchers
   Your available transferable balance will appear, excluding any non-transferrable vouchers. If you have vouchers that can be used, they will be automatically factored into your available balance.

6. Send Funds
   After reviewing the details, tap the blue 'Pay Now' button to send the funds.

7. Need More Funds?
   If the amount you wish to send exceeds your available balance, tap the blue 'Deposit' button. This will allow you to deposit funds and complete the transaction.

8. All set!
   Once you've hit send, the amount will be transferred instantly to the recipient. They will receive a push notification to alert them of the transfer. Tap the blue 'Done' button to return to the homepage.

Receiving Funds

When someone sends you money, the funds will automatically appear in your balance. You can view the transfer in your transaction history which is accessible from your Wallet within the app.

Requesting Funds via QR Code

To set up a request for receiving funds:

1. View Your Wallet
   Open the app and access your Wallet from the home screen.

2. Select Request Payment
   Choose Transfer Funds, then select Request Payment from the menu that appears.

3. Enter the Amount
   Type in the amount you're expecting to receive, then tap the blue 'Receive' button. This button will be grey until you type in a value greater than $0.05.

4. Generate QR Code
   This will generate a unique QR code for the sender to scan. For the sender to scan your code, they should follow the sending steps above, but instead of typing in your username, they should tap the QR icon in the upper right-hand corner to open the camera and scan your QR code. 

5. Complete the Payment
   Once the QR code is scanned, the sender will proceed through the payment steps. When the transaction is complete, you'll see a green tick on your screen, confirming the successful transfer.

Alternatively, the sender can also scan your QR code directly from their home screen by tapping 'Pay Now' and then selecting the QR icon in the upper-right corner.
