How to Send and Request Funds

Follow this simple guide to learn how to send or request funds quickly and securely.

Sending Funds

  1. Open the App
    Once you're in the app, locate and tap 'Transfer Funds', which is just beneath the Wallet.

  2. Select Send
    From the menu that appears, tap 'Send' to initiate the transaction.

  3. Enter Recipient’s Username or Scan QR Code

    • Type in the username of the person you want to send funds to in the provided field.
    • Alternatively, if the recipient has generated a QR code for the transaction, tap the QR icon to scan it and proceed.

  4. Enter the Amount
    On the next screen, tap next to the green $ sign and input the amount you wish to send.

  5. Optional: Add a Description
    Beneath the amount, you have the option to add a description to your transaction, which can be useful for labelling specific payments.

  6. Send Funds
    After reviewing the details, hit the blue 'Pay Now' button to send the funds.

  7. Need More Funds?
    If the amount you wish to send exceeds your available balance, tap the blue 'Deposit' button to deposit funds and complete the transaction.

  8. All set!
    Once you've hit send, the amount will be transferred instantly to the recipient. They will receive a push notification to alert them of the transfer. Tap the blue 'Done' button to return to the homepage.

Receiving Funds

When someone sends you money, the funds will automatically appear in your balance. You can view the transfer in your transaction history which is accessible from your Wallet within the app.


Requesting Funds via QR Code

  1. Select Transfer Funds
    To request payment, tap 'Transfer Funds', located just beneath the Wallet.

  2. Select Request Payment
    From the menu that appears, tap 'Request Payment'.

  3. Apply Discounts
    If you have any discounts set up, you will see them in the dropdown menu above the keypad. Select the appropriate discount to apply it to the transaction.

  4. Enter the Amount
    Type in the amount you’re expecting to receive, then tap the blue 'Receive' button.

  5. Generate QR Code
    This will generate a unique QR code for the sender to scan. For the sender to scan your code, they should follow the sending steps but tap the QR icon to scan the QR code instead of typing in your username.

  6. Complete the Payment
    Once scanned, the sender will proceed with the payment, and when complete, you'll see a green tick on your screen, confirming the successful transfer.
